“Air Twist” Pattern, Large Crystal Glass in the Georgian Theme , 19th century

The unusual “air twist ” of the stem was first seen in mid 1700s where a spiral was produced when the heated stem was twisted with a number of air bubbles inside.

The effect is spectacular in this 19th century “Georgian fashioned” very large glass.

Dimensions are height 11 ” x diameter of top 4″ x diameter of the base 4″.
