French Kingwood Poudreuse Dressing Table with Bronze Mounts, 19th Century

This stunning French 19th century period poudreuse or dressing table in kingswood and gilt bronze has a hinged serpentine surface inlaid with delicate botanical imagery and lifting to 3 separate compartments for storage. The center compartment section with a lock and key, a mirror that slides forward to stand perpendicular to the piece , a tierette, and a lower drawer. While the left side is deeper with a dummy drawer on the top front and lower real drawer, the right side is more shallow with 2 real drawers below. Wonderful gilt bronze mounts throughout all 3 sides makes this an exquisite addition to any bedroom.
