Elegant Royal Crown Derby “Yacht/Nautical” Themed Porcelain Cabinet Plates, Set of 10 each Uniquely Hand Painted & Signed by WEJ Dean , Dated 1936

Handsome set of 10 Royal Crown Derby porcelain cabinet plates, uniquely hand painted in a “Yacht/Nautical” theme and dated with Royal Crown Derby year cypher 1936. Each plate is an image of a different yacht (named on the reverse) in unique weather conditions  and signed on the front lower right by the British artist WEJ Dean. The circular central image scene depicts a ship “in sail mast” on the open blue sea, under a light filled sky.  The rim is a pastel yellow border with a gadrooned gilded edge. All are in excellent condition and backstamped with the “Royal Crown Derby” mark,  “Made in England” mark, cypher mark(1936), and signed with a unique yacht name: Anita, Pendragon, Rainbow etc..

A marvellous “bright and light filled” set that would add an extra touch of elegance to any seaside home or for a family of yachting enthusiasts.
