Elegant “Capodimonte Influenced” Italian Decorative Set of 2 Porcelains, Each a Pair of Finely Modelled Sculptural Rooster /Hen Figures, Rich Ivory White Glaze, Circa 1960s

Elegant pair of mid-century, circa 1960s, Italian porcelains. Each figural group, depicts a “rooster/hen pair” in slightly different poses: one pair shows a tall rooster with head raised in a “theatrical stance” as if guarding his hen versus the contrasting poses of the other pair shows an actively foraging rooster who is “tidbitting” or finding food for his hen. Both groupings are in a rich soft creamy white ivory glaze with finely modelled feather detail and expressive forms. Integrated sculptural bases with ground/foliage texture. Both are classic examples of “Capodimonte-influenced” Italian decorative porcelain, popular in the post-war period, often unmarked where labels were lost over time. Both in excellent condition.

Beautiful pair of sculptural groupings, ideal for display on a mantel, sideboard, or cabinet.
