This large sterling silver soup ladle is by the makers Joseph II & Albert Savoy – Founded in 1835 in London, England. The ladle is in the traditional fiddle pattern monogrammed with PBB. The slightly curved handle is perfect shape for the ladle to sit and rest in a soup tureen.
English Hallmarks: J S over A S for Joseph II & Albert Savoy (founded in 1835 ), Lions head for London, Assay mark Lion passant denoting Sterling Silver and the date letter “I” for 1844, Monarch head of Queen Victoria.
Measures: 13 3/4 inches long with a 4inch wide bowl.
Weight: 292 grams
Excellent Condition: Minor surface wear could use buffing.
