    A miniature painting on ivory, it dates early 19th century, France.  The painting depicts a delightful narrative of a lady receiving a gift from two individuals, supposedly a story about parents giving their daughter a gift. The painting is a soft combination of muted tones of orange, red, brown, peach and blue on ivory. The brush work is rather fine and detailed, it is carefully rendered to show everyday people at the time. The painting lies under glass, with a white border and square shaped frame.

    A lovely collection of 3 framed watercolours by A. Vincent, depicting  journeys on the high seas. Each painting is wood framed under glass with a visible 2 inch mat. Each water colour contains a unique narrative featuring sails, the sea and clouds.  ‘Sunset Sails’ depicts a two sailboats and a island with a  lovely sunset scene, ‘Rolling Up To London’  is a Australian Clipper battling rough tides for the journey home, while in ‘Journey’s End’ there is calm waters with three ships returning home from a voyage, one getting a tow to shore. The three painting create the perfect nautical vignette.

    This is an exceptional framed map of London England that bears the title –

    “A PLAN of the CITY and LIBERTIES of LONDON after the Dreadful Conflagration in the Year 1666. The Blank Partwhereof represents the Ruins and the Extent of the Fire ;& the Perfpective that left standing.”

    This rare map is framed under glass in a simple, thin black frame accented with two different bands painted gold. The map itself is a highly detailed street plan of the City of London after the “Great Fire” in 1666. The legends, both alphabetical and numerical, denote many important locations including churches. I believe it to be copper engraved.

    Map Measures: 13 1/2  inches wide x 9 1/4 inches high.
