    A set of 10 Burslem plates by Royal Doulton, dating circa 1890. Each plate is beautifully hand-painted with soft colours of brown, yellow and gold accent on white porcelain. The design is a unique layered composition of floral,leaf, scroll and vine. It has simple, yet smooth balance of elegance with a ruffled rim that mimics the forms of flower petals.

    Marked: On the bottom in green, marked with Royal Doulton, Burslem, dates 1886 -1902. England added after 1891. Henry Doulton, the Potter to the Prince of Wales at the time.

    Condition: No chips and cracks (minimal surface scratches from gentle use).

    Each measures: 10 inches diameter

    Set contains : 10 plates in excellent condition .

    Small Royal Winton, Demi-tasse Cup & Saucer – Hand-Painted

    A beautiful, yet unusual hand-painted cup and saucer by Royal Winton, it dates early 20th century, England. It is hand-painted cup and saucer with colours of red, green, pink, yellow, orange and brown with accents of gilt gold around the rim and handle. The hand-painted scene features a lovely composition of freshly picked country flowers on the exterior of the cup and saucer. The handle is quite fine and small, but is easy to pick up and hold.

    A delightful cup and saucer by Royal Winton, it is perfect for those little moments of tea time.

     

    Measures: Cup : 2 1/4 inches in height
    Saucer measures – 4 1/2 inches in diameter

    Marked: On the bottom in green with the mark of  Royal Winton, Made in England. Signed on the plate by an unknown artist (see close-up image).

    The tables are satinwood and date circa 1910.

    A wonderful set of 8 with Birks Sterling, in a sherbet/champagne styled glass. The sterling base has rather short stem, and a unusual smooth and rounded shape. The rim is decorated with an elegant flower pattern upon the rim, it also has a small space within the centre for the glass insert. The glass is a soft tulip shape, that is beautifully decorated with a floral and leaf design upon the rim in deluded white.

    A delightful set of 8 by Birks Sterling,  perfect for a gift, or entertaining for events.

    This is a delightful George Jones & Sons set that is decorated with a lovely floral and leaf design in gold on a royal deep blue. They are beautifully hand painted on the exterior and interior of the cups, and the interior of the saucers. The handles are quite small enough to pinch to make sipping easy. The simple, yet scalloped edges on both the cup and saucer are a nice decorative touch.

    This a wonderful set to enjoy and share the little moments of your favourite espresso or tea.

    Marked: On the bottom in black with the traditional George Jones & Sons mark with England & Sons Crescent China, it dates circa 1891 – 1920.

The biscuit barrel is a unique composition, with the right balance of timeless elegance and quality craft.

    English import marks dating 1909 with marks for George Stockwell – who imported many Swiss pocket watches and silver.

    “GS is the sponsor’s mark of George Stockwell, described in Culme’s “Directory of Gold & Silversmiths…etc.” as an “importer of foreign watches”. Culme also provides some details of Stockwell’s firm, Stockwell & Co Ltd, who were listed in Birmingham in 1912 as ’agents to Messageries Nationales Express and Messageries Anglo-Suisse, continental, foreign and general shipping agents, special tariff for small consignments abroad”.

    Measures:  3 1/4 inches long x 2 1/8 inches deep

    This cobalt blue crystal box by Val St. Lambert has a domed lid with a stippled rondelle, decorated with acid-cut gilded Danse de Flore decoration surrounded by a gilt frame of anthemion. The side of the box is similarly decorated with a gilded frieze on the stippled crystal depicting Jupiter Danse de Flore.

    The box rests on a round, gilt-banded pedestal foot.

    The original Val St. Lambert label is present on the interior.
