12 Royal Worcester Dinner Plates – “Bessborough” Pattern c. 1920s

A wonderful set of 12 (plus one free for a total of 13) Royal Worcester England hand-painted and enamelled bone china dinner plates, c. 1920s, in the “Bessborough” pattern.

The plates have a white centre and underside with a cream coloured background on the rest of the plate. There is a green patterned enamel rim and gold coloured edge. On the plate are floral swags and swirls in red, pink, green, blue and gold. In the white centre section there is a circle of green and brown ivy leaves.

The underside shows the Royal Worcester maker’s mark and reads “Royal Worcester. Made in England. Bessborough” in brown. In red, it shows “EM” as well as “Z 715/1”.

Each plate is 10 1/2 inches in diameter and all are in excellent condition.
