19th Century French Paris Porcelain – Figural Footed Inkwell with Hound Dog
PorcelainsA 19th century French porcelain inkwell with the figure of a brown and white hound dog on the top.
The body of the inkwell is painted blue and white with gold accents. Two inserts – one for ink and another for sand sit in cut out holes in the porcelain. The hound sits between the two inserts.
The piece is 9 1/4 inches tall from the top of the dog’s head to the base, 9 1/2 inches long and 5 3/4 inches wide.
Please note the condition of this piece. The dog is in very good condition but the inkwell has suffered paint loss and there is a chip on one of the pots but doesn’t detract from the beauty of the piece. It is being sold in “as is” condition.
