A charming tall ovoid shaped vase with hand-painted scenes of Japanese figures by Satsuma Pottery Ware in Japan, it dates late 19th century. It features two alluring Japanese figural scenes of samurais and villagers in various activities surrounded by a hills and a rising sun scene, decorated with embellishments of floral, ribbon and line. Beautifully designed and hand-painted in colours of green, red, orange, red, and brown with accents of gold throughout. Perfect for decorating the home, or as a unique gift.
