19th Century Large Ivory Framed Painting on Ivory of a Couple in a Pastoral Scene “Pastoral Subject” After Francois Boucher

A wonderful large rectangular painting on ivory of a courting couple sitting under the shade of a tree in a pastoral setting. The painting is after Francois Boucher (1703-1770) and is taken from a well known painting of his titled “Pastoral Subject”

The painting is protected under glass and is housed in an etched an elaborate ivory frame, missing two tiny pieces.

The frame measures 8 3/8 inches high X 7 1/4 inches wide. and the painting is 4 1/2 inches high X 3 3/8 inches wide.
