19th Century Spode Porcelain Teapot
This is an Early Spode teapot decorated with colourful handpainted florals over a back transfer design. The background is white making the bright colours pop. Unmarked because at the beginnings of the industry in the 18th century pots were not always marked. Spode was no exception to this and in the late 1700s and early 1800s not everything from the Spode factory had a mark.
Measures: 10 1/8 inches long – handle to spout x 5 1/2 inches wide x 6 1/2 inches high including lid finial.
Excellent condition: Tiny hairline to handle and lid. Crazed all over.
