19th Century Sweetmeat Porcelain Figural Dish By Carl Thieme, Dresden circa 1870.

A beautifully hand painted figural sweetmeat server by Carl Thieme.  Sweetmeat referred to confectionary / sweets / candy.  This particular model was done by Meissen and decorated by the Carl Thieme factory in Dresden.

Early Carl Thieme mark dating circa 1870.

Marked: with crossed lines ‘X’ under ‘T’.

Measures: 6 inches tall x 10 1/2 inches wide.

Excellent condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs.
