American Foster & Bailey Sterling Silver and Crystal Purse Perfume Bottle with Stopper, c. 1890

A purse crystal perfume bottle with stopper and sterling silver hinged lid.  The lid has a pretty design and is stamped “F & B Sterling”. F & B is Foster and Bailey, American silversmiths that operated between 1878 and 1898 in Rhode Island.

The body of the bottle is clear crystal in a ribbed pattern. There is a crystal stopper inside the bottle but it does not appear to be the original stopper as it does not allow the bottle lid to close completely.

The bottle is 3 inches tall. There is a tiny dent in the silver lid but, overall, the bottle and lid are in very good condition.
