American Whiting & Davis Colourful Art Deco Enamelled Mesh Metal Evening Bag, Chain Handle

Here is a gorgeous Art Deco mesh metal evening bag / purse, made by the American duo of Whiting & Davis.  The frame, handle and body of the bag are white metal.
On the bag, the metal has been painted with colourful enamelling in white, gold, peacock blue and black in swirl patterns and there is a fringe bottom.

On each side of the inside of the embossed purse frame is stamped “Whiting & Davis Mesh Bags”.

The bag, including the chain handle, is 12 inches tall and is 3 3/4 inches wide.

There are a couple of loose threads where the bag has become detached from the frame but, overall, the purse is in very good condition for its age.
