Austro Hungarian Silver Oval Etrog Box with Hinged Lid on Ball Feet – circa 1900

A beautiful Austro-Hungarian hallmarked silver oval box with a hinged lid and 4 ball feet. The box is ribbed and has a ribbed finial as well.  This is an Etrog box that would normally hold a lemon type fruit.

The hallmarks are located on the underside of the box.

The box (with the lid closed) is 5 inches long x 4 inches wide from the hinge to the front of the box. It stands 4 1/2 inches tall from the finial to the feet.

It is in excellent condition and closes very tightly.
