Birmingham English Hallmarked Sterling Silver Embossed Teapot, 1898 with Removable Interior Strainer

Here is a gorgeous sterling silver teapot with detachable strainer built into the pot that is also removable for cleaning (please see photos). The pot has an ebony handle and finial on the lid.

The teapot is English hallmarked for Birmingham, 1898. It is wonderfully embossed with scrolls and swirls and floral designs all over the body and lid.  On one side, it is monogrammed “CJ & JGG from G.C.G. 1898”.

The teapot is 11 inches from the spout to the back of the handle and is approximately 7 inches tall from the finial to the base.

There is one small dent at the tip of the spout but, overall, it is in very good to excellent condition.
