An Art Nouveau period claret jug with pewter mounts (handle, spout, collar & bead decoration). The jug is two layers of glass – Red overtop of clear and the red is cut down to show the clear. circa 1890.
The jug is “Bohemian” where many of this glass was produced – the region then became “Czechoslovakia” after the first World War and where glass and crystal production is continued to this day.
Measures: 11 inches high.
