Canadian Oil Painting on Board – Roy Greenway (1891-1972)

A lovely bright and colourful oil painting on board of a harbour scene with houses along the shoreline and a man in a row boat heading out to sea.

The scene is untitled – but most likely a scene in Gloucester, Massachusetts which was a place Greenway painted and exhibited art in.

Roy Greenway was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1891.  He has exhibited with the Royal Canadian Academy, the Montreal Society of Artists, the North Shore Arts Association of Gloucester, Massachusetts (member), and elsewhere. He has painted in Canada (Toronto, Ontario & Quebec), United States (Portsmouth, N.H., and NYC), Italy (Venice), and in England (Cornwall).
