Carved and Signed Asian Ivory Netsuke of Man with Large Round Head, Bulging Eyes and Crossed Hands

Here is a sweet carved Asian ivory netsuke of a man with a large round head, bulging eyes, hunched shoulders, protruding ears, and with his hands crossed in front of him.

A netsuke is a small sculptural object (carved button-like ornament) worn for hundreds of years in Japan as a functional and aesthetic piece and used to suspend articles from the sash of a kimono.

It is signed on the underside of the piece.

The netsuke is 2 inches tall x 1 1/2 inches wide and is in excellent condition.
