Famille Rose  (French for “pink family” ) is a type of Chinese porcelain introduced in the 18th century that features fabulous delicate pinks, rusts, greens and blues. This large, centerpiece bowl depicts hand painted scenes illustrating figures in interiors and beautiful landscapes with birds, butterflies, fruit, and floral images. The ” illustrated story scenes” are in lovely delicate detail on the interior surface of the bowl and framed in a circular textured bronze gilt trim.
