Colourfully Hand-painted Spode Pottery Round Trinket Box, c. 1790-1820

A beautiful hand-painted Spode English pottery round trinket box with a lid, circa 1790-1820. The box has a white background and is painted in cobalt blue and gold with floral patterns. The underside of the box shows “Spode 1166” in red paint.  The interior of the box is also painted.

The box with lid is 1 inch tall and is 2 1/2 inches in diameter.

There is some minor gilt loss on the rim of the box and lid as well as a small chip on the rim of the box. Overall, the piece is in very good, vibrant condition for its age.
