A lovely oil painting on canvas by the Dutch artist, Cornelius Bouter (1888-1966). The painting shows an interior kitchen scene with a woman and her three children.

It is signed in the lower right of the canvas. The painting is housed in a beautiful carved wood frame.

Cornelis Bouter was born in 1888 in Gouda, Holland.  He specialized in painting traditional scenes of Holland, both interior family scenes and landscapes.
Bouter is known by several pseudonyms including C. Verschuur, C. Willems, and C. Hendriks.
He lived primarily in Holland, between La Haye and Voorburg, though he traveled to and spent significant time in the United States and Canada.
