Early Aynsley Bowl w/ Hand-Painted Intaglios of Country Scenes & Butterflies c.1900
v** SOLD ARCHIVES **vHere is a wonderful, early bowl, marked “Aynsley England” and showing the early Aynsley factory mark on the underside.
The bowl has beautifully hand-painted intaglios of English and Scottish rural and lake scenes – with panels of butterflies with a deep blue, light salmon pink background with a white bottom and a gilt rim & foot.
There are 6 miniature oval paintings (3 inside bowl, 3 outside) and 6 painted butterflies (3 inside bowl, 3 outside).
England, circa 1890-1910.
Measures 9 inches in diameter and 4 3/4 inches tall.
