Elegant English Silver-Plated Fish Servers in Original Leather Case – Martin, Hall & Co. – circa 1880.

Here is a lovely English silver-plated fish serving set (knife and fork). Both pieces are ornately decorated with floral designs and the knife is stamped on one side of the blade with the maker’s marks.

The pieces are housed in the original brown leather presentation case. The interior of the box is lined with white silk on the top and blue velvet on the bottom (where the knife and fork rest).

Please note the age discolouration on the white silk and some wear on the exterior of the case.

Marked MH & Co. for Martin Hall & Company located Shrewsbury Works, Broad Street Park, Sheffield, England –  using that name since 1854.

The knife is 13 inches in length and 2 1/4 inches wide on the widest part of the blade.

The fork is 10 1/2 inches long X 2 1/4 inches wide across the tines.

Both pieces are in excellent condition.
