English “Coalbrookdale” Porcelain Floral Vase, Mid 19th Century

A wonderful porcelain two-handled vase from the mid 19th century. The vase has a white background with applied multi-colour flowers and leaves and showing gilt accents especially on the rim, handles and base of the vase.

There are no maker’s marks on the vase but it is English in origin – Coalbrookdale by it’s style.  Coalbrookdale was made by the Coalport factory in the Victorian period.  Pieces were not made as practical pieces but rather ornamental to decorate mantels and are decorated with multi-coloured three dimensional flowers.

It measures 9 inches tall X 3 1/4 inches across the base. From handle to handle, it is 4 3/4 inches wide.

It is in very good condition.
