English Hallmarked Sterling Teapot Dated 1878. Maker: James Dixon & Sons

A handsome English Hallmarked Sterling Tea pot Dated 1878 by Maker James Dixon & Sons.
Tall and slender shape with hand chasing, a sterling handle.  The teapot is quite weighty at 657 grams and is in beautiful condition.  The inside of the teapot is also very clean and can certainly be used again for pouring a fine cup of tea.

an Inscription in script is written on the bottom.
To Bishop & Mrs Charles Clingman.  A token of love and gratitude from the congregation of the Church of the Advent.
Birmingham Alabama.  April 22-1936
