Late Victorian – English Hallmarked Sterling & Crystal Heart-Shaped Box

A exquisite ‘English Sterling Hallmarked and Crystal Heart-Shaped Box’, it dates during the late reign of Queen Victoria. It features a lovely heart-shaped lid inscribed in the centre with a beaded border, and a beautiful crystal cut glass heart-shaped base.

Marked: English Sterling Hallmarked.(‘lion’ for sterling .925) Marker: H. Mathews. (Dated ‘d’ for 1901. ‘anchor’ for City of Birmingham.)

Measures: 2 inches tall x 4 inches wide.

Excellent Condition. No chips, cracks or dents in silver. (Minimal surface scratches from gentle use and age.)
