Exceptional Pair of French Sevrés Porcelain Covered Urns – 32 inches High – Signed ‘Poitevin’ – 19th century

An exceptional pair of French Sevres porcelain covered urns with heavy, elaborate gilding over cobalt blue backgrounds.

Each urn with a hand painted courting scene on front and landscape painting on the reverse.  Signed by the artist ‘Poitevin’.  The body of the urns twist around 360 degrees for easy viewing of either the front or back.

Gilt bronze decorative hardware throughout – handles, lids, base, body, neck and base.

Marked “Sevres 34” in red printed circle mark.

Measures:  32 inches high x 13 inches wide.
