Very attractive and heavy, Victorian sterling silver table snuff box by renowned English silversmith Francis Clark, hallmarked Birmingham 1845.  Francis Clark was considered to be one of the top box makers of the Georgian/Victorian era.

This exceptional box features an ornate border, with rich floral motifs applied in high relief surrounding a cartouche that awaits your monogram. Classic engine turned side decoration and a wonderful gilt interior, that also provides a layer of protection from the snuff which may oxidise/tarnish the silver. The hinge and lid are in superb condition, with a smooth and tight closure. Hallmarks on both the interior lid and base.

In hand, the snuff box conveys a sense of high-quality craftsmanship and importance in the box’s overall presence. A luxurious addition to any sterling silver or snuff box collection. A perfect gift.
