Fantastic Pair of 19th Century Large Porcelain Chinese Chargers – Blue and White “Prunus Hawthorn Pattern” Circa 1860

A fantastic pair of Chinese blue and white porcelain chargers from the Late Qing Dynasty. Each is hand painted with prunus branches in a bold pattern of white and cobalt blue linear details against richly painted brushwork or a “texturally layered” cobalt blue ground.  This “Prunus Hawthorn Pattern” is Circa 1860 as revealed in the unique “unglazed spots” that occurred naturally when fired. Both are in excellent historical condition.

Impressive “statement” pieces for any modern or traditional setting.

Dimensions: diameter 16.0″ x height 2.5″
