A large bulbous bodied cameo glass vase by Francois-Theodore Legras, it dates circa 1895, Paris, France. It is a specular vase inspired by the simple, yet whimsical patterns of nature during the movement of Art Nouveau , “New Art”. The wonderful cameo pattern are in the muted tones of brown, red and green over a warm yellow background. The large leaves in the design are very outstanding in quality and technique.
A stunning vase by Francois- Theodore Legras, that would make an exquisite centre piece and would benefit from being showcased with lighting.
