French Bronze Commemorative Medal From the French Mint, November 1965, No. 80/800

A wonderful bronze commemorative medallion with one side showing a woman holding a fleur-de-lis plaque in her hand. There is an inscription which reads “La Medaille Italienne a la Monnaie De Paris November 1965”. The artist’s name “R. Signgrini” is stamped below the woman’s arm.

The title translates to:  The Italian Medal at the Paris Mint, November 1965

The other side of the medallion shows an arm holding a sheaf of leaves and it reads in Latin “Sistens Fluxa Rerum Nomisma Oblivia Vincit”.

The medallion is 3 1/8 inches in diameter and is in very good condition.
