French Gilt Bronze Ewer Shape Clock with Green Onyx Base c.1890

A beautiful, small gilt bronze ewer shaped clock with a figural cherub playing a violin on one side and a playful lion climbing up the other side.  The clock features an 8 day spring movement which allows easy placement anywhere (no pendulum).  The face is a white enamel with colourful garlands and black numerals.

The base is heavy in a green onyx which is a nice contrast to the gilt body.

Measures 11 inches high.

The clock and base are in great condition.
