French Guilloché Enamelled Round Powder Box with Hand Painted Portrait on Ivory

A beautifully painted portrait on ivory surrounded by a deep aubergine coloured guilloché enamel over ormolu box.  The hinged lid opens to reveal a mirror and powder puff with makeup powder still in it.

The box is marked France.  This is by M. Klein , France circa 1900.

Measures:  4 inches diameter x 2 1/2 inches tall
