Georg Jensen Sterling Silverware Set in Cypress 1954 Pattern of 60 Pieces

This Georg Jensen of Denmark sterling set in the celebrated “Cypress” pattern consists of 60 sterling marked pieces and includes the wood storage box . The Cypress pattern’s inception won a Scandinavian design competition in 1953 to celebrate Georg Jensen’s 50 year jubilee.  The history of Georg Jenson speaks to the timeless quality of craftsmanship and design. The large number of pieces in the set is of great value for a “Jensen” beginning or to add into an existing set.

Comprises generally of 8 settings with some discrepancies :

8 dinner knives (8.75″), 7 dinner forks ( 7.5″), 8 dessert/oval soup spoons ( 7″), 8 salad forks ( 6.75″), 8 pastry/dessert forks (6.75″), 7 teaspoons (6″), 6 cream/soup spoons (5.75″), 2 demitasse spoons ( 5″), 2 pairs of large server spoons/salad servers  (8.5″), 1 butter knife (6.25″) and 1 fruit knife(6.75″).

Note:  generally in good condition owing to storage and use, none the less, a remarkable find.
