Georgian English Hallmarked Engraved Sterling Silver 10 Inch Footed Salver, Scalloped Rim – London, 1825

A lovely heavily embossed / engraved 10 inch round English hallmarked sterling silver footed salver with a crest in the centre. The salver has very decorative edging with a scalloped rim & shells & 3 decorative feet underneath to raise it.  A crest of a sheep over a ‘B’ appears in the centre.  The salver is a nice heavy weight for its size weighing:  570 grams.

The English sterling hallmarks are on the underside of the piece and date the salver for 1825, Sheffield.  Maker’s marks for S.C. Younge & Co. – Sheffield.

Measures 10 inches diameter.
