v** SOLD ARCHIVES **vA fantastic Italian chess set by Giuseppe Vasari (1934-2005) which features gilt and silvered metal figures on a black & white marble board raised on 4 silvered horse legs.
The set consists of Napoleonic & British (with Prussian) forces depicting the 1815 Battle of Waterloo.
Sits well on a contemporary Biedermeier style square table (included).
