Hand-Painted Paris Porcelain Burgundy and Gold Cup and Saucer, circa 1840, Rural Scene

Here is a lovely antique Paris porcelain, circa 1840, hand-painted cup and saucer in burgundy and white with a large painted rim and handle on the cup and a smaller gold rim on the saucer. The front of the cup is painted with a rural scene, showing a mountain, buildings, a tree and water. There is a embossed mark on the underside of the cup. The cup is 3 1/4 inches wide X 2 3/4 inches tall and the saucer is 5 3/4 inches in diameter. There is some age-related gold paint loss on the cup rim but, otherwise, it is in good condition for its age.
