Hungarian Oil on Wood Panel – ‘Greguss, Imre’ (1856-1910) – ‘Portrait of a Girl’

A lovely oil painting on panel of a portrait of a young woman by Hungarian painter – Imre Greguss (1856-1910) (or Greguss Imre as name is often reversed in Europe).  Framed in a wide blonde Oak frame.

Marked on back panel with stamp from Budapest, Hungary.  Not signed – but plaque on front with name of artist “Greguss Imre”, and is very much the style of the painter along with Hungarian stamps on back – all point to this being painted by this artist.

Also back panel stamped with numbers – indicating the painting went through an auction at some point.

with Frame: 15 1/2 inches high x 13 1/2 inches wide.
