Queen Louise of Prussia (1776–1810) was the beloved queen consort of King Frederick William III of Prussia and is remembered for her charm, intelligence, and patriotism, which endeared her to the Prussian people. Born Princess Louise of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, she married Frederick William in 1793, and together they had nine children. Louise became a symbol of Prussian resistance during the Napoleonic Wars, as she fiercely opposed Napoleon’s expansion across Europe.
