The strong rectilinear shape is softened by the top central open carved organic floral/leaf and “crossed arrows” motif that drapes acanthus leaves slightly to each side. The lovely gilt or gold surface shows a charming patina with a contrasting yet subdued forest green border. In good condition, the wear is consistent with age and use.
