Here is a lovely  black laquered Japanese dowry chest in three sections with a round shape that sits on a frame / platform with 5 feet. The chest has 2 sections and a lid which are removable for storage and is elaborately decorated in red, black and gold predominantly with images of dragons, butterflies and Asian characters. The frame has iron fastenings and a iron handle and has a iron ring on each of the 5 upright struts attached to the feet.

The dowry box with frame measures 22 inches wide and stands 23 inches tall.

It is in excellent condition.
