A wonderfully carved Japanese ivory netsuke of 3 monkeys – “Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil”.
Dates Japan circa 1890-1900

The netsuke is signed in Japanese characters on the sole of one of the monkey’s feet.

The netsuke measures 1 1/4 inches tall and is 1/1 2 inches wide at the base.

It is in excellent condition.
