v** SOLD ARCHIVES **vA 10 karat gold Canadian Olympic team ring from the 1952 Helsinki games. The athlete was Roy Cole from Hamilton, Ontario who competed in “Trap Event” (shooting). He participated in the 1952 Olympic games which was held in Helsinki, Finland. The gold ring has the Olympic rings under a Maple Leaf and CANADA shaped into it with Canada’s coat of arms on the opposite side. The faceted stone is red (probably synthetic ruby) and around the stone reads “Olympic – Club – Club – Olympique – CANADA”.
The ring is marked on the interior – “Jostens 10k” it is also engraved on the inside “B8844-110”
The ring came from the estate of Roy Cole who passed in 1999 (1912-1999).
