Large 19th Century French SEVRES Porcelain Jewelry Box with Hand Painted Scenes & Heavy Gold Work. circa 1860

A beautiful quality, large French Serves porcelain jewelry box having a centre hand painted scene on the top lid and smaller side scenes on the front and sides of the body.  Heavy gold work decorates the entire box.  The interior is fabric lined for storing precious jewelry.  Bronze trim and latch.

The hand painted is a village scene by a river with villagers dancing and a man playing a musical instrument.  The other scenes on the body of the box are landscapes.  The main scene is artist signed “Lauvur”

Measures:  13 1/2 inches long x 7 inches deep x 5 inches high
