Large Early Richard Eckert Rudolstadt/Volkstedt German Porcelain Centrepiece with 5 Figures and Applied Flowers – c1870’s

A 19th century German porcelain very large porcelain figural grouping centrepiece with 5 figures as well as painted and applied flowers.  The grouping is tiered with 4 figures on the lower level surrounding and listening to the gentleman who is playing flute above them.

The mark is for the Volkstedt porcelain factory in with a double Pitchfork mark in blue underglaze.

The centrepiece measures 16 3/4 inches tall and 11 inches wide.
