v** SOLD ARCHIVES **vA large porcelain figural grouping of Musicians by the Volkstedt Factory, Germany circa 1910. The grouping is a piano player, cello and vocalist sitting on a tile decorated floor which is covered partially by an area carpet – all the figures are in 18th century costume – each with lace decoration – which is all in beautiful condition.
The grouping is large measuring: 15 inches long x 11.5 inches high
the Volkstedt mark on the top of the tile floor on the back side of the figures. The double ‘G’ mark under crown and 1762 (the company in existence since 1762).
These large porcelain figural groupings are rare and this one is in exceptional condition..
