Loetz Vase with Applied Iridescent Blue “Lily Pad and Rush” Floral – circa 1920’s
v** SOLD ARCHIVES **vA lovely Loetz vase in a translucent white colour with applied glass lily pad base and bull rush running up the body of the vase. The translucent Opal / white background has decorative internal oval air bubbles throughout the vase. The applied bull rush and lily pad is in an iridescent oil spot blue. The piece is marked “Czechoslovakia” in three lines on the bottom of the pontil.
The closest examples I could find on Loetz.com with air bubbles are under the Ausfuehrung decors index.
Measures: 9 1/8 inches high x 5 1/8 inches wide at top rim.
Marked on interior of bottom pontil – “Czechlosovakia” (split into 3 lines).
Excellent condition all around. No chips, cracks or repairs.
