v** SOLD ARCHIVES **vA fantastic long, large mahogany breakfront cabinet / bookcase with satinwood inlay. The cabinet has 3 door lower section with shelves and wood mullions. The upper is narrow with two smaller door sections and additional shelves. The cabinet is decoratively inlaid with satinwood around each door and the upper portion. The cabinet is stamped by the manufacturer Robson & Sons – Newcastle on Tyne.

Robson & Son was listed in The Furniture Gazette Directory, 1876 and became reputedly ‘the largest and most complete house furnishers in the North of England’.
Started in 1835 by Robert Robson with his sons joining the firm soon after. Four generations of Robsons owned the factory until it was bought out in 1953.
Robson and Sons were cabinet makers of the highest standards.
